Ahhhhh drat, well once I get to know some of the farmers up in MN I'm sure I can get good grass fed stock for the dogs...and me .

Claire, over here we're sort of phobic about grain fed - since it's full of chemicals, and ... well other animals. It's all about grass-fed :)

Well depends on where you get the grain. If the farmer grows it themselves like my family's farm did then there are no insecticides and all. It was all natural stuff they used and they fed the cows their own grown corn and grass so I imagine I wouldn't have had an issue of buying from them but they don't have the farm anymore.

That's true - it's the farms/farmers who feed GMO or "mash" (the kind that have smooshed up, dried animals in it) that I'm against. The feed with animal protein is what, believed to be, the wide spread of mad-cow...besides, why in the world feed non-carnv animals other animals!! It can't be healthy for them :(. Greed - the fake stuff (not real food like grass and whole grain) is cheaper.

But then yeah, I'm a tad bit fanatical when it comes to food
